In Spain, employees get paid once a month. Employees typically get paid on the 25th of every month. If this falls on a weekend, then they will receive their salary on the Friday before the weekend starts.
Employees in Spain receive receive a total of 12 base payments and also a 13th and 14th month bonus (pagas extraordinarias, which means extra or special pay) in a year. These additional bonus payments are typically made in July and December and each amount is 1/14th of the employee's total annual salary.
