What is P11D in the United Kingdom?

The P11D form is an HMRC form used and filed annually by an Employer to report benefits in kind (BiK) paid or made available to employees. As an employee, these are items or services you receive from the Employer in addition to your salary, such as private healthcare, interest-free loans (to pay for train season tickets, for example), and company cars.

At Remote, your private medical insurance is a BiK and will be reported as such to HMRC.

Starting from the 2023-24 tax year, the P11D form will no longer be necessary, as we will be listing the taxable benefit amount directly on your payslips instead, reporting it to HMRC on a monthly basis
