How to appeal a reserve payment

If you have been asked to make a reserve payment when hiring an employee through Remote and you believe the decision should be reconsidered, this guide will help you understand the process for appealing.

To initiate an appeal, kindly send an email to appeals@remote.com. You will promptly receive an automated response containing instructions on the required financial information to support your appeal.

In order to overturn a reserve, we require precise financial data showing your ability to cover payroll for the next 12 months. Once these criteria are met, Remote is able to reverse the reserve. The necessary information typically includes up-to-date balance sheets and the most recent three months of bank statements.

Please note that the appeal decision may take 3-5 business days to be processed. Remote will communicate the outcome of the appeal via email, keeping you informed every step of the way.
