Salary Protection During Reserve Duty

Employees' salaries are not affected while they are on reserve duty. Employers are required to pay the full salary during this period. After the employee's service, the employer can then demand reimbursement from the National Insurance Institute. The National Insurance Institute pays the employee's salary directly to the employer and includes a bonus. This bonus rightfully belongs to the employee.

Retroactive Compensation

The payment of salaries for employees on reserve duty is compensated retroactively through the National Insurance Institute as per the regular procedures.

Restrictions on Dismissal

Please note that the restricted period for dismissal following military reserve duty is now extended. For employees who served for at least 60 days between 07.10.2023 and 31.12.2024, the restricted period is 60 days following their return.
