Personal income tax rates

The tax rates for income earned in 2023 are as follows:

  • For annual taxable income (except for income from business activity, capital and dividend income) up to EUR 41,445.46 is taxed at 19%
  • For annual taxable income (except for income from business activity, capital and dividend income) above EUR41,445.46 is taxed at 25%

Annual income filing options for the tax year of 2023

Option 1 - Filing annual Income “RZD” (Rocne Zuctovanie Dane) through Remote

Eligibility: You have a single income source, which is your employment with Remote in Slovakia.

Option 2 - Filling annual tax return on your own

Eligibility: You receive an additional source of income apart from your employment with Remote and/or you receive income from abroad.

  • You will be responsible for your tax filing.
    • You can visit the official website to obtain the Elektronické form.
    • We recommend consulting with an accountant or tax consultant as necessary. Without knowledge of your other sources of income, we aren't able to provide appropriate advice.

We will issue a confirmation of your annual income with Remote

Action required: Please complete this form by February 6, 2024 to confirm the option that applies to you so we can send you the annual salary confirmation form you need for your tax filing.

 

What should I do if I want to declare a donation of 2% of my tax?

You can donate 2% of your taxes to non-profit organizations.
