Remote’s Payroll Reporting is a powerful tool for analyzing business data, managing finances, optimizing workforce, and future planning.
Access important data to understand financial performance, manage your workforce, and assess operational efficiency. Detailed reports like monthly gross-to-net summaries and year-to-date payroll costs enable smart decision-making and effective resource planning.
In this article, we'll cover the basics of the Reporting Library, including access, available report types, and data interpretation.
What Types Of Reports Are Available?
Currently, you can access three types of reports:
- Gross-to-net (G2N) monthly summary (available for EOR and Payroll)
- Year-to-date payroll costs (available for Payroll)
- Cost of workforce (available for EOR and Contractors)
The Payroll reports display amounts in the customer’s billing currency, using the same FX rate that was used in invoicing.
When will data be available for a specific month?
To ensure your payroll reports accurately reflect the foreign exchange (FX) rate used for the period, they become available once the corresponding invoice has been issued. The information needed to generate your reports is accessible only after the invoice is created. This is why you won't see results in the reports if the invoice for that period hasn't been generated yet.
You will be able to access your Payroll reports once all payroll runs for the month are completed AND the invoice has been issued.
Who Can Use the Reporting Feature?
The Reports tab is visible on the left-hand menu bar to users with the Owner or Super admin role, as well as those with a custom role that includes the Company Management permission.
Gross-to-Net Monthly Summary
The Gross-to-net monthly summary is aggregating across all Payroll runs, per month. This gives a detailed view of all the employee pay items, giving management a tool to understand Payroll cost, over time. This report can be downloaded as an XLSX file or CSV file.
Year-To-Date Payroll Costs
You can get visibility into year-to-date payroll costs to better plan finances, set accurate budgets, and understand the overall business performance.
Year-to-date payroll cost reports make it easy to stay updated on all your spending and monitor financial performance throughout the year.
Workforce Cost Insights
Without insights into workforce costs across different employee types, the ability to budget effectively, allocate resources, and plan finances can be compromised. Comprehensive reports on workforce costs enable informed strategic decision-making and data-driven recommendations.
