The calibration scorecard is a tool that helps review teams evaluate and adjust employee performance ratings consistently across the organization. In this article, we cover the following:

  • Conduct calibration
  • Missing Manager Scores
  • What happens if a calibration group misses its deadline?

Conduct calibration

To conduct calibrations after a Calibration Event begins:

  1. Access your assigned calibration groups from the Performance tab

For each participant in the group, you can:

  • Review their self-reflection and manager assessment
  • Adjust their final performance score if needed (when the group disagrees with the manager's rating)
  • Add discussion notes or start comment threads

Note: Any score changes will require the manager to update their written assessment to match the new rating.

Missing manager scores

Manager scores may be missing from a calibration group for the following reasons:

  • No manager is assigned in the platform (this could be accidental or intentional, like for a CEO)
  • The manager didn't submit their reflection by the deadline
  • The manager's reflection was reopened and hasn't been resubmitted

Note: You cannot close a calibration group until all reopened assessments are resubmitted and every participant has received a calibrated score.

What happens if a calibration group misses its deadline?

Each calibration event has a set due date that is defined when the review admin creates and publishes the review. If your group hasn't finished collaborating on scores and gotten admin approval by this date, the group will be marked as Overdue.

Currently, there are no automatic penalties when a group becomes overdue. The only change is that the group will display as "Overdue" in both your view and the admin's view of open group events.
