Who is responsible for managing the employment agreement?

As a PEO customer, you are responsible for managing the onboarding process and the employment agreement for each new team member you hire through Remote’s PEO product.

When adding a new team member to your PEO product, you’ll be asked whether you want to:

  1. Use your own employment agreement, or
  2. Use Remote’s contract template

If you choose to use Remote’s template, we’ll fill in all the required information for you.

  • Please note: Remote provides this template as a starting point for your hiring needs. This is a template, not legal advice. We recommend seeking legal review, as your specific situation may require different terms or additional clauses that only a legal professional familiar with your circumstances can advise on. Once you confirm the details, the agreement will be ready to send to the employee for signature.

If you choose to use your own employment agreement, the employee will still be added to Remote, but you’ll need to send the agreement separately. Remote won’t deliver it on your behalf.

To keep everything organized, we strongly recommend uploading all related documents directly to Remote. This ensures that both your team and Remote have easy access to the complete onboarding history.
