The Journée de Solidarité is typically observed on Whit Monday (national holiday in France) but this year, the employees required to observe the Journée de Solidarité in 2021 will instead be expected to work overtime for a total of 7 hours (corresponding to one full working day) before the end 2021.

The employee has the option to split the 7 hours of overtime across several days. A timesheet template will be provided to track this and ensure that all employees complete their Journée de Solidarité before December 10th, 2021. In 2022, the Journée de Solidarité will be observed on Whit Monday (June, 6th 2022). We will provide clear communication and guidelines closer to the time.
