What is the Employer Health Tax?

The Employer Health Tax (EHT) is an annual tax paid on the wages that are paid to employees and former employees in a calendar year. This tax impacts employers with annual payrolls that exceed the $500,000 CAD. Remote Canada is registered in the province of British Columbia and is therefore required to pay this tax.
