If I do not provide my permanent account number, at what rate will my tax be deducted?

If you do not provide your Permanent Account Number to the payer (i.e., deductor), then the deductor shall deduct tax at a higher rate which is the rate or rates in force, i.e., the rate prescribed in the Finance Act. At the rate of 20%.
