Why haven't I received Form 1099-NEC?

At the beginning of January, Remote will generate a pre-filled Form 1099-NEC for employers with eligible contractors in the US. Employers will see these tax forms in the Remote platform where they can review and distribute them to your contractors.

If you still haven't received this tax form after they've been generated, it could be because your Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) hasn't been inputted on Remote.

How to input your tax identification number

To provide Remote with your EIN or SSN, you can do this on the platform: 

  1. Go to the Personal details tab.
  2. Click on the Administrative details section.
  3. Click on Edit to input your SSN information.
  4. Save the changes.
