At the end of the tax year, Remote will generate Form 1099-NEC and Form 1042-S for contractors and select customers to complete and file their taxes. We generate both forms at the end of January.

If you still haven't received these tax forms after they've been generated, it could be because your Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) hasn't been inputted on Remote.

How to input your tax identification number

To provide Remote with your EIN or SSN, you can do this from the Remote platform:

  1. Go to the Personal details tab.
  2. Click on the Administrative details section.
  3. Click on Edit to input your SSN information.
  4. Save the changes.
