Does Remote support part-time employment in the United States?

At Remote, we have ceased hiring part-time employees in the United States because we currently cannot track weekly/monthly hours worked by these employees. When an employee works over 30 hours per week or over 130 hours per month, by law, employers must provide benefits. Not being able to track this information could put Remote at risk of noncompliance. Therefore, if the employee will work under 30 hours per week, they will need to be hired as a contractor instead.
