Yes. Remote does not provide any government with our encryption keys or the ability to break our encryption or direct access to our customers’ data. If a government requests access to our customer's data, they must follow the applicable legal processes. A warrant, a court order for content, or a subpoena for customer information shall be issued by a government agency with the appropriate rights or a court before Remote can review a law enforcement request.
All requests must target specific accounts and identifiers. Remote's legal and compliance teams will review all requests to ensure they are valid and will only provide the data specified if we deem the request valid. We will reject invalid requests. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Remote will notify the client before it actions a law enforcement request.
