Why do we have a duty to have in-person contact in Portugal?

The legislation in Portugal now demands that employees shall have in person contact with co-workers. We suggest employees have at least one in person contact per year because by default; the law mentions one every two months. However, we encourage that employees have as many in-person meetings or social gatherings with colleagues, clients, managers, and employers as possible.
