As a Brazilian employee, you are required to have a Carteira de Trabalho e Previdência Social (CTPS) number to work. If you do not have a CTPS number you can get one by either using the government app or you can use another required document which your Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas (CPF).
Using the government app

- Download the government app, CAIXA trabalhador.
- Create an account or log in if you already have an account.
- Click on meu NIS.
- When you scroll down, you will find your CTPS number.
Using your CPF number
For step-by-step guidance on how to do this, you can watch this video. Basically, you should add your CPF number (11 digits) accordingly:
CTPS Number: First 7 numbers of your CPF.
CTPS Series: Last 4 numbers of your CPF.
CTPS issued by: Should always be São Paulo.
CTPS date issued: The day you completed your onboarding on Remote.
