What are some limitations that could occur during onboarding in Spain?

When onboarding an employee in Spain: 

  • We cannot send out an employment agreement if the employee does not have a social security number.
  • Sometimes, if the employee doesn't have a Foreigner Identity Number (NIE), this could be a blocker during onboarding. 
  • If the employee doesn't have the two documents outlined above, an onboarding that involves a relocation could become difficult to manage. 
  • We do not support fixed-term contracts.
