How is the vacation period in Brazil structured?

In Brazil, there are 3 periods to be aware of:

  • Acquisition period: An employee needs to first complete 12 months of employment in order to acquire 30 calendar days of vacation.
  • Concession period: Following the acquisition period, the employee should take their vacation during the 11 months that follow.
  • Request period: Employees should submit their time off request on Remote at least 45 days before the vacation start date.
