To file your Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) online:

  1. Log into the EPF member portal here. You must sign in using a universal account number (UAN) and password. EPFO issues the UAN, which is a 12-digit number.
  2. Select e-nomination under the Manage tab.
  3. From the Provide Details tab, click on the Save button.
  4. To update the family declaration, select Yes.
  5. Click on Add Family Details then click on Add now in case more than one nominee is to be added. You will be required to provide details of the nominee and also asked the total share amount you plan to give to the nominee.
  6. Click on Save Family Details.
  7. Click on Nomination Details to declare the total amount of shares. If you have more than one nomination, consider that the total percentage of shares for the nominees should come to 100%.
  8. Click on Save EPF Nomination.
  9. From the Manage tab, go to the e-nomination. You will see Pending Nomination displayed.
  10. Click on e-sign to generate a one-time password (OTP) and submit it to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. A new web page will pop up, prompting you to enter the virtual ID of Aadhaar.
  11. You will be directed to the tick box to provide your consent for e-KYC services data from Aadhaar.
  12. Enter your Aadhaar or Virtual ID again. Now, click on Get OTP, which will be sent to the registered mobile number as per the Aadhaar database.
  13. Put in the OTP received on your registered mobile number. Click on the check box and give your consent then click on Submit.
  14. You have successfully entered the e-nomination for EPFO. Click on the Manage tab and crosscheck E-Nomination. The Nomination History should display the status as Nomination Successful.
  15. Kindly take a screenshot and upload this to your Documents tab.
