Benefits renewal and benefits experience updates for 2027
From January 1, 2027, Remote will support benefits for employees under its US Employer of Record (EOR) service through a larger master benefits plan. This article explains what is expected to stay the same, what will change, and when customers will receive more information.
No action is required right now. Remote will email customers in the last weeks o October 2026 with confirmed benefits changes, timelines, and any required actions.
- Customers will continue to be able to choose from 6 benefits tiers in the United States
- Each tier will continue to include medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees based in the US
- Remote aims to keep the US EOR customer experience consistent throughout this transition
We will move US EOR benefits to a larger master benefits plan. Once the setup is finalized, we will share the confirmed plan options, renewal timelines, and any required actions. We’ll contact customers at the end of October with the plan details and any required next steps.
The workers compensation insurer will change, and rates may change slightly. As before, premiums will be charged through payroll. We will share the final rates as soon as they’re available.
The 401(k) plan will move to Fidelity. This change will not affect how the plan operates. The employer match will remain the same: 100% of employee contributions on the first 3% of pay and 50% on the next 2%.
Your team will receive updated benefits from January 1, 2027, based on the benefits tier selected by you.
After a customer selects a tier, each team member may need to review updated plan information or complete benefits-related steps. Remote will provide clear instructions before any action is required.
In the last weeks of October 2026, Remote will email customers with more information about the benefits changes, key dates, and any required actions. We will also update this article as details are confirmed.
