Remote’s Right-to-Work Checks
Remote conducts right-to-work checks to verify employees’ legal eligibility to work in their country of employment, ensuring full compliance with local immigration laws. These checks confirm an individual’s legal authorization to work and help prevent potential legal repercussions, such as fines or sanctions, while ensuring a seamless employment experience.
To examine an employee’s right to work, Remote collects nationally recognized identification documents and conducts secure identity verification through trusted providers. For employees working in a country other than their country of nationality or usual residence, the Mobility team reviews residence permits and other relevant documentation to confirm both legal stay and work authorization. When additional validation steps are required, the Mobility team provides guidance and support to ensure full compliance with local regulations.
By combining thorough document review, secure verification, and expert support, Remote safeguards both employees and the organization while upholding the highest standards of legal and regulatory compliance.
