How incentives, reimbursements and salary adjustments work with semi-monthly payroll?

Currently in certain countries where we run a semi-monthly payroll, if incentives, expense reimbursements or salary adjustments are submitted before the payroll cutoff, it is possible for these to be processed and paid out mid month (15th of the month) or the end of the month.

Previously, we only processed these during the last payroll of the month. This change will allow for greater flexibility.

Cutoff Dates for Incentives, Reimbursements, & Adjustments in Canada and the US

Payroll Cutoff Date Pay Date
10th of the month 15th of the month
25th of the month Last working day of the month

Cutoff Dates for Incentives, Reimbursements, & Adjustments in Mexico and Panama

Payroll Cutoff Date Pay Date
7th of the month 15th of the month
21st of the month Last working day of the month

NOTE: In December only, we have adjusted the cut-off timeline for Mexico and Panama due to the holidays. The cutoffs for the US and Canada remain unchanged.

Mexico & Panama (December):

  • Pay date of 15th December: cut-off of 5th December
  • Pay Date of 22nd December: cut-off 13th December
