In Colombia, according to Resolución 0312 de 2019 and Resolution 1843 of 2025 it is mandatory for team members to undergo specific health checks as part of occupational health and safety regulations. These evaluations help ensure that team members are fit for their roles and that any potential health risks are identified and managed appropriately. Health checks must be completed in the following circumstances:

1. Pre-employment:
A health check is required before starting a new role. It is recommended that this examination be completed during the week prior to the employee’s start date.

2. Periodic health checks:
Team members must undergo a medical evaluation every three years from their official start date.

3. After sick leave:
A health check is mandatory following a medical leave of 15 days or more to confirm that a team member is fit to return to work.

4. Offboarding:
Employers are required to offer a health check at the end of the employment relationship. While team members may choose not to complete it, doing so carries no penalties. If a team member opts to proceed, the health check must be completed no later than five days after the contract end date.
