With a simple command, you can create an entry instantly without logging into the Remote platform—it's automatically saved to your Notes.

How to add a note directly on Remote
Your Notes is a private space to document and track your professional growth. Notes you add here will pre-fill your performance assessments, making it easier to reflect on your achievements.
To add a note on Remote:
- Go to the Notes tab
- Click the Add new note prompt
- Write about a specific event, achievement, or reflection
- Press Enter to save
Note: You can add as many entries as you like, whenever you want.
How to add a note to Remote from Slack
Using Slack to add notes is simple and convenient. Notes created through Slack will sync to Remote automatically and include a backlink to the original Slack message for context.
Add a note via Slack:
- Type the command /note followed by your message
- Tip: It's recommended to do this as a Direct Message to yourself
- Click on the send icon in Slack
- Look for the confirmation notification
- Only you can see this notification
- Find your note in the Notes tab of your employee account, where you'll see it listed with the original message date and a backlink to the Slack conversation
How to add an existing Slack message to your Notes
To save an existing Slack message as a note:
- Find the message you want to save in any Slack channel
- Click the More actions (three dots) menu next to the message
- Look for the Save Journal Note option and click on it
- If you don't see it immediately, click More message shortcuts to find it
- Wait for the confirmation notification at the bottom of your screen
- Note: Only you can see this notification
- Your saved note will appear in your Notes tab with:

- The original message date
- A backlink to the Slack conversation
Note: You can edit or delete notes in Remote without affecting the original Slack message. If needed, you can always recreate the note by sending it again from Slack.
Editing an existing note
To edit or delete a note:
- Hover over the note you want to modify. The edit and delete options will appear
- To edit a note, click the Edit icon and modify the content or date as needed
- To use AI assistance, click the AI icon. The system will help improve your note's tone and structure
Note: Deleting a note cannot be undone, so please confirm before proceeding.
