You can connect Slack to Remote to receive real-time updates, automate workflows, and improve performance management. This guide explains how admins and company owners can enable the Slack integration and what features become available once it's active.
What you can do with the Slack integration
After you connect Slack to Remote, several features become available:
Workflows: Automate company-level processes such as payroll or time-off approvals. Slack notifications help keep the right people informed at the right time.

Who can enable the Slack integration
Slack: Before you start, please ensure you have the correct Slack permissions to install apps. If you don’t have the right access, you may receive an error or be asked to request approval from your App Manager (such as an IT admin).
Remote: Only users with one of the following roles can enable integrations in Remote:
Owner
Super Admin
Custom roles with Company Management permissions
How to enable the Slack integration
Step 1: Open your company integration settings
Log into Remote.
Go to Company settings.
Select Integrations.
Step 2: Add the Slack integration
- Search for Slack and select Add from the Slack integration card.
- Under Configure your Slack integration, select Add integration.
You’ll be redirected to Slack, where you can sign in to your Slack workspace.
Step 3: Review and confirm permissions
Review the permissions Remote is requesting.
Select Allow to approve the connection.
- You’ll return to Remote and see a confirmation message showing the Slack integration is enabled.
