To ensure a smooth implementation, here are the documents you can prepare:
All states:
- I-9 Forms
- Employers must verify the identity and employment eligibility of each new hire and complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.

- Federal W-4 (Employee's Withholding Certificate)
- The W-4 form, completed by employees and submitted to their employers, determines the amount of federal income tax to be withheld from each paycheck.

- Every state has its own specific new hire reporting requirements

- Payslips from the start of the tax year (if you start payroll with us in the middle of the year)

In the states where there are personal income tax:
- State tax withholding forms
- Of the 50 states, most impose personal income tax. However, Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming have no state income tax.
