Smartfields are placeholders that automatically populate information from your team member's profile, such as their name, address, and start date. This feature works with all document types and for all team members. Some Smartfields, however, require the team member to complete their onboarding before they will populate.

Creating a New Document Template with Smartfields

  1. Go to Documents > Create > New Template.
  2. Select your country and enter a template name.
  3. In the editor, click Smartfields.
  4. Search for the field you want to use (e.g., "Name," "Birthday").
  5. Click the field to insert the Smartfield into your document.

Smartfields are particularly helpful for creating various documents, including employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), offer letters, and company policies.

FAQS:

  • Existing documents remain unaffected by this change.
  • You can combine Smartfields with manually entered information in the same document.
  • This feature is included at no additional cost.
  • The fields are pre-configured and require no setup.
