Understanding job statuses

Learn how different job statuses affect visibility, applicant access, and job management on the platform.

Job statuses

• Draft: The job will only appear on your Remote dashboard, and is not visible externally.
• Open / advertised: The job will appear on Remote's job board landing page as a "new job" and be indexed in searches.
• Open / non-advertised (ATS job only): These jobs will be discoverable with a specific URL but will not show up in search.
• On Hold: These jobs are not advertised, not accepting applications but you can manage existing candidates.
• Closed: This means the job has been filled or cancelled.
