QR code doesn't work during setup

Problem: You scanned the QR code with your authenticator app, but the verification code doesn't work.

Why this happens: If you refreshed or left the 2FA setup page before completing the process, a new QR code is generated. This makes your previously scanned code invalid.

How to fix it:

  1. Delete the entry from your authenticator app
  2. Return to your account settings and restart the 2FA setup
  3. Complete the entire setup process in one session without navigating away
Always stay on the 2FA setup page until you've successfully entered a verification code and received confirmation that setup is complete.

Lost access to 2FA codes

Problem: You can't access your 2FA verification codes.

Why this happens:

  • You lost or replaced your device
  • You deleted your authenticator app
  • You didn't transfer authentication data when switching devices

How to fix it: Complete the identity verification process to reset your 2FA:

  1. Select the "Lost access to 2FA" option on the login screen
  2. Follow the identity verification steps
  3. Once verified, you can set up 2FA again on your current device

Invalid verification code errors

Problem: The system rejects your verification code as invalid.

Why this happens:

  • The code expired (codes refresh every 30 seconds)
  • Your device's time is out of sync
  • You entered the wrong code

How to fix it:

  1. Wait for a new code to generate in your authenticator app
  2. Make sure you're entering the correct code for this account
  3. Check that your device's time and date settings are correct
  4. Ensure automatic time synchronization is enabled on your device
