A criminal record check verifies a candidate's criminal history to identify past convictions, charges, or legal proceedings. The scope and accessibility of information vary based on each country's laws and practices.
Report turnaround time varies by country but does not exceed 15 working days after the hire submits all required information.
The report only includes criminal records from the time the candidate resided in the selected country and excludes records from other countries.

This check provides information about unspent convictions and conditional cautions only (excluding spent convictions). Very serious offenses will never be considered spent, but minor convictions such as being drunk and disorderly, will eventually drop off your Police record, in most cases, once the rehabilitation period has ended and will go from being an unspent conviction to spent.
In England and Wales, criminal record checks are conducted through the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) government agency. We offer a basic DBS check (also known as a basic disclosure) — the most straightforward level of criminal record checking in the UK.
In Scotland, the search is conducted through the Disclosure Scotland government agency, and the Northern Ireland check is run by the Police Service.
