Yes, there are fees for non-local and linked currency payments. While standard EOR pricing includes local-currency payroll, payments in non-local or linked currencies are offered as optional add-on services. These options provide valuable benefits such as global compensation alignment, stability in volatile markets, and competitive hiring advantages.

For EOR employees paid in a non-local currency, intermediary banks may deduct fees from their salary. Remote is not responsible for any difference between the transferred and received amounts due to these fees.

About the Foreign Currency Salary Fee

There is a $50/month fee per employee for non-local or linked currency salary arrangements. This cost reflects the operational complexity and additional compliance work required to support non-standard payroll setups.

You’ll only be charged if you actively request this option for a specific team member in the allowed countries. It will be clearly itemised on your Reconciliation invoice.
