After your resignation request is submitted and accepted, you will receive
a Resignation Acceptance Letter in the Files tab of your
Remote profile. This letter initiates the final payment processing and documentation
procedures.

If you have submitted an investment declaration, ensure you upload your investment proofs through the Remote Platform to receive tax benefits. Complete this submission the same day you receive your resignation acceptance.
Israel 🇮🇱
As of May 15th, 2025, you need to submit your timesheet at your earliest opportunity after receiving your resignation acceptance notification. This is essential for processing your attendance information accurately. Learn more here.
Mexico 🇲🇽
Please note that resignations in Mexico follow a specific process distinct from terminations.

Resignation Submission:
- The employee’s resignation is submitted to Remote.

Client Confirmation:
- Remote automatically requests confirmation from the client.

Processing:
- After approval the request is received, reviewed and processed as needed. -
Acceptance & Communication:
- Once processed, Remote issues a resignation acceptance letter and email to both client and employee. -
Payroll & Documentation:
- Payroll prepares the final payment and coordinates with local advisors.
- The employee signs required legal documents (Resignation Letter, NDA, Final Release Receipt (finiquito), Payslip). -
Final Steps:
- The employee receives a stipend to cover printing and courier costs.
- The employee sends signed copies to avoid payment delays and later mails the originals using a provided stipend.
Philippines 🇵🇭
- For employees whose last working day falls between the 1st and 15th of the month: the 15th salary will not be released. Instead, it will be combined with the final salary and processed in the month-end ad hoc pay run.
- For employees whose last working day falls between the 16th and 30th of the month: the regular month-end/30th salary will be held and processed together with the final pay during the off-cycle pay run on the 10th of the following month.
South Africa 🇿🇦
If you have a pension fund benefit, you will need to complete the application form and submit it along with a certified copy of your ID and proof of bank account to help@remote.com with the subject line marked for Payroll. This will ensure our payroll team can assist in progressing the process.

Switzerland 🇨🇭
If you are currently enrolled in the Swiss basic mandatory health insurance (KTP – KVG/LAMal) provided by your employer through Remote, please reach out to benefits-support@remote.com and inform us that you are leaving Switzerland so we can assist you in sending the departure certificate to the health insurance provider.
United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪
In the UAE, regulations require that after an employee’s termination or resignation, their health insurance must remain active for an extra 30 days based on the visa cancellation date. However, please note that 30-day DHA post-coverage might be waived under the following circumstances:
- The employee is no longer in the UAE (visa cancellation as status “Permanent Closure”)
- The employee has obtained a new DHA-compliant medical insurance (valid proof of the new coverage is required).
- In the event of the employee’s death
