Can I change the currency of my salary?

As an employee hired through our local entity in your country of residence, Remote is legally obligated to pay you in your local currency, as stated in your employment agreement/contract. This means that if you are an employee based in France, you will always receive your salary in Euros and cannot instead choose to receive it in Pounds Sterling.

If the Customer initially offered you a salary in a currency different from your local one, this amount would have been converted to your local one during your onboarding process. The gross salary outlined in your contract is a fixed amount and does not change month on month (regardless of currency fluctuations)

In a few countries, we offer a non-local currency option that allows the employee to be paid in a different currency from their local one.
