This article explains how to change your account email or password from your Remote dashboard, and how to reset a forgotten password.

How do I change my account email?

  1. Sign in to your Remote account.
  2. Select your profile icon at the top right of the page and go to Account settings.
  3. In the Account Details section, click Edit.
  4. Enter the new email address you want to use.
  5. Enter your 2FA code for this action and click continue.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Open the confirmation email from Remote and click the Confirm Email link to complete the change.
Your email change is not complete until you click the Confirm Email link. If you skip this step, your account will continue using your old email address.

How do I change my password?

  1. Sign in to your Remote account.
  2. Select your profile icon at the top right of the page and go to Account settings.
  3. In the Account Details section, click Edit.
  4. Enter your current password.
  5. Enter your new password.
  6. Confirm your new password.
  7. Click Save new password.

How do I reset a forgotten password?

If you cannot sign in because you forgot your password, you can reset it from the login page.

  1. Go to the Remote login page.
  2. Click Forgot password?
  3. Enter the email address associated with your Remote account.
  4. Check your inbox for a password reset email from Remote. Click the reset link in that email to set a new password.

If you do not see the password reset email in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder. The email is sent from Remote and may take a few minutes to arrive.
