How to add an employee with a non-local currency on Remote

When you want to onboard an employee with a non-local currency, this can be done when the employee is being added to the platform. This is only available for employees in Argentina, Costa Rica and Turkey. To do this: 

  1. Go to the Team tab on Remote. 
  2. Click on the Add new hire button. 
  3. Begin adding the employment details of this employee.

  4. When you get to the Contract details page, you will choose either the employee's local currency, Argentine Peso or United States Dollar.

  5. Once you've filled out all their employment details and invited the employee to the platform, they will be asked to fill out the details of their USD account during onboarding.

In the employment agreement, the employee's salary will be stated in the non-local currency.
