You can connect Claude Desktop or claude.ai to Remote in a few minutes. The AI never sees your password; you sign in to Remote in your own browser.
Steps
- Open Claude. In Settings, go to Connectors (in Claude Desktop this lives under Customize).
- Add a new custom connector with:
- Name: Remote MCP
- URL:
https://mcp.remote.com/mcp
- When prompted, your browser opens a sign-in page.
- You are then taken to the Remote sign-in page. Sign in with your normal Remote credentials.
- Return to Claude. The connector should now show as connected.
Try it out
Ask Claude something, for example:
- How do I select the best weeks to take time off, so that I optimise the longest break with the fewest days off?
- How many time off days do I have left this year?
- When is my next payday?
Claude calls the right Remote tool, reads the answer, and replies in plain language.
Things to know
- Claude only sees what your Remote account is already allowed to see, and can take the limited write actions your role allows (such as submitting time off or creating an expense).
- The AI client uses OAuth to sign you in through Remote — you never share your Remote password with it.
- If your Remote account is de-provisioned, access is revoked automatically.
- You can disconnect Remote MCP at any time (see How do I disconnect Remote MCP from my AI client?).
