When you connect your AI client to Remote MCP, the AI can access the same data you can see when you sign in to Remote. Not more.
💡 Before you connect: Anything you type into your AI client — including parts of your questions and Remote's answers — may be stored in that client's conversation history, depending on its settings. Avoid sharing sensitive information you don't want retained outside Remote.
What the AI can access
- Information visible to your Remote account, such as your own employment details, time off, and contract.
- Data your role and permissions already allow, for example direct reports if you are a manager.
- Actions that are part of the allowed set that Remote MCP exposes for your role.
What the AI cannot access
- Data your role and permissions do not allow.
- Information that lives outside Remote.
How access is controlled
- You sign in to Remote in your own browser. Your Remote password is not shared with the AI.
- Roles, permissions, and Row-Level Security in Remote apply to every tool the AI uses.
- You can disconnect the AI at any time (see: How do I disconnect Remote MCP from my AI client?).
