This article answers common questions about creating and running reports in Remote.
Can I schedule reports to run automatically?
Not at the moment. You cannot schedule a report to run automatically in this release. A self-serve scheduling option is planned for a future release. In the meantime, if you need a report to run on a regular schedule, contact Remote for help.
Who can I share a report with?
You can share a report with other users or roles, but only with people who can access all of the data in it. This release does not support field-level access restrictions, so a report can be shared only with users who have every permission required for the data sources and fields it uses. If someone is missing a required permission, they will not appear in the share list. Even after a report is shared, each person sees only the data within their own scope, such as their country, entity, or department, so the same report can show different rows to different people.
Why can't I see all data during report creation?
While you are designing a report, the report builder shows a sample preview of the data. This keeps the page responsive while you make changes.
The complete dataset is only available after the report runs and you download it. To confirm that all records are included:
- Select Run report.
- Review the counts, totals, or other summary values in the results.
- Adjust your filters and run the report again if something does not look right.
