What are the Remote AI agent's limitations?

The Remote AI agent is in beta, so it is helpful to know what it cannot do yet. Understanding these limits helps you use the agent with confidence.

Current limitations

  • Not available to RPS customers. The beta is not available to companies onboarded to Remote Payment Services.
  • You stay in control of sensitive actions. The agent can take actions on your behalf within Remote (for example, submitting an expense), and some actions may be hard to undo. Review anything important before you rely on it.
  • Works only within Remote. It does not access or make changes to systems outside Remote.
  • No conversation export. You cannot export conversations yet.
  • Responses can vary. Answers may differ depending on the wording of a request, the available context, and your permissions.

Not available yet (planned for later)

Some capabilities are planned for later in the beta and are not available at launch:

  • Proactive notifications.
  • A Slack integration.
  • App building

Things to keep in mind

  • The agent only sees data you are already authorized to access, so it cannot answer questions about information outside your permissions.
  • Because this is AI in beta, accuracy and capabilities are still improving. Review important results before acting on them, and use the feedback option to flag anything that looks wrong.
