Remote Expenses Card is currently in beta. We're actively improving the experience based on feedback from our early users, so some features and workflows may change over time.

Learn how to make purchases, upload receipts, and manage your Remote Expenses Card.

Before you make a purchase

Use your card only for approved business expenses that fall within your allowed spending categories.

You can view the spending categories approved for your card in the Remote mobile app by tapping the question mark ("?") icon.

If a merchant does not match an approved category, the transaction may be declined.

Make an in-store purchase

  1. Open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
  2. Select your Remote Expenses Card.
  3. Complete the payment.

Make an online purchase

  1. Open your card details in the Remote mobile app.
  2. Copy or enter your card information.
  3. Complete the purchase.

What happens after a purchase?

When a transaction is completed:

  • The transaction is recorded automatically.
  • An expense record is created automatically, pending a receipt upload.
  • The transaction appears in Remote.

Receipts are required for every purchase

You must upload a receipt for every completed transaction.

Receipts help your company:

  • Verify business expenses
  • Maintain compliance requirements
  • Keep accurate expense records

Upload a receipt

  1. Open the transaction in the Remote mobile app.
  2. Select Upload receipt.
  3. Add a photo or file.
  4. Save the receipt.

What makes a valid receipt?

Make sure to follow the requirements of the applicable expense policy and country-specific guidelines for expense supporting documentation.

What happens if you do not upload a receipt?
