Can Stripe Connect support non local currencies for contractor payout?

Currently, contractors eligible to use Stripe Connect can only connect a bank account in their local currency. Stripe can only pay out to a bank account and currency that’s the same as the country where the contractor lives. This means if the contractor is living in India, they can only add an Indian bank account and receive their funds in INR.

There are some exceptions to this. If a contractor is based in Europe and wants to be paid in one of the SEPA currencies we support, this is possible. For example, if the contractors lives in the Netherlands, we can pay them in any European currency. The same goes for a UK contractor. A contractor living in the UK can add EUR, NOK, CHF etc to their Stripe account if they wish.
