Can an employee be exempted from carrying out a Sexual Harassment Prevention Training in South Korea?

No, they can't. As the Employer of Record (EOR) in South Korea, Remote is required to schedule a Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for the Employee.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training certificate from a previous employer. In order to comply with the local legislation, the Employee needs to carry out a new safety training through Remote.
