Business verification (Know Your Business, or KYB) helps us confirm your company's identity before you can send payments through Remote Payment Services (RPS).
Before you begin
Please have the following information ready:
- Your personal details and a valid government-issued photo ID
- A letter of authorization, if you're completing the verification on behalf of your company and you're not its legal representative
- Your company's legal name, registered address, and registration number
- The full legal names and dates of birth of all company directors
- Details of all ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs)
- A short description of your company's business activities
Completing the verification usually takes about 15 minutes. Your progress is saved automatically, so you can leave the process and return later if needed.
Step 1: Start your business verification
Once your legal entity is set up, we'll let you know it's time to complete business verification. You can start the process in any of these ways:
- Select the notification in your email.
- Open the to-do item on your Remote dashboard.
- Go to your legal entity profile, select Entity information and Continue verification in the Business verification card.
Step 2: Enter your details
If you’re completing the verification, please provide:
- Your full legal name (as shown on your photo ID)
- Your personal contact information
- A letter of authorization, if you’re not the company’s legal representative
Step 3: Enter your company details
You’ll be asked to enter:
- Legal company name
- Registered business address
- Company registration number
Step 4: Add director and owner details
For each company director and ultimate beneficial owner (UBO), provide:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Country of residence
- Ownership or control details
Note: A UBO is anyone who directly or indirectly owns or controls more than 25% of the company. If no one meets this threshold, provide the details of the individuals who have significant control over the business, such as the CEO or a senior managing director.
Step 5: Select your business activity
Choose the option that best describes your company’s primary business area from the dropdown menu.
Step 6: Verify your identity
To complete the process, verify your identity with our trusted verification partner.
You'll need a valid government-issued photo ID, such as:
- Passport
- Driver's license
Make sure the name on your ID matches the name you entered in Step 2.
Step 7: Submit and wait for confirmation
Once you submit your details, our Compliance Team will review your information. If anything needs clarification, we’ll reach out to you.
Once your business verification is approved:
- You'll be able to add a payment method.
- You'll be able to mark employees under Remote Payroll or your contractors under Contractor Management or Contractor Management Plus as trusted beneficiaries.
- You can begin sending payments through Remote Payment Services.
