For countries where it is mandatory to offer this benefit, we will automatically enrol employees, but they have the option to opt out within 30 days of enrolment. Employees can opt-out directly on the Benefits Hub in Remote by accessing the Kota link.

For countries where it is optional to offer this benefit, we will enrol employees upon Customer selection during onboarding. The enrolment process is the same as outlined above.
Exceptions: In the Netherlands and Switzerland, employees will receive an invitation in their email from our provider, ThanksBen with complete instructions on how to Opt In, if they wish to.

Important exception: If the employee is hired in Spain 🇪🇸, their benefits enrolment will not take place via Remote's Benefits Hub but through the ThanksBEN enrolment platform. Through the ThanksBEN, they’ll be able to opt in or out of benefits and add their dependents within 30 days of their start date as part of your enrolment process.
