What is the timeline to process payroll?
Customers’ desired pay dates - once customers decide to go with Remote Payroll, we will set up a customized calendar during the implementation process: it depends on the country & its complexity
1. Input Cut-off
- The payroll input cut-off is the deadline by which the customer must submit all payroll-related information (such as bonuses, commission payouts, expenses, overtime, and time-off requests) on Remote's platform.
- Meeting this deadline ensures accurate payroll calculations and timely processing.
2. Payroll input review
- Remote will review the payroll data using all of the information submitted by the customer in the "Payroll Input".
3. Payroll processing
- Remote will process the payroll data from "Input" and generate the "Payroll Output".
4. Payroll Output delivery
-
Remote will process the "Payroll Output" on the platform and share it with the customer.
-
This triggers an email and dashboard notification to the customer, letting you
know that you have payroll to approve.
5. Approval date
- Customer to approve "Payroll Output".
- Without the customer’s approval, Remote cannot continue to finalize the pay run.
- Any adjustment should be shared within Remote under the Request Changes option in the Platform and the customer does not need to leave Remote to send any emails to request updates.

-
Remote to upload the final reports associated with the payroll run and set
the status of the payroll run to Finalized.
-
Documents can be accessed from the Documents tab in the payroll run.
8. Customer payment execution
- Customers to download payment files and process payments to employees and local authorities.
