Our integration can now sync payslips and end-of-year statements to your employee’s folders in HiBob. This allows Global Payroll employees to access their payslips directly in HiBob without logging into Remote, as long as this feature is available for your account, and based on the products you have active with us.
Once configured, our integration automatically syncs your data every day, ensuring new time files are pushed to HiBob every time we perform a monthly payroll run.
Prerequisites
To enable the integration you will need to enable employee syncs, by following steps 1 and 2 in our integration overview page. You will also need to enable the specific service user permissions stated in the Files sync section of our HiBob configuration article.
What information will be synced?
We only push files that:
- Belong to employees managed by the integration. To check this, view the employee list in the People tab of the integration. Files will only be pushed for the employees on this list.
- Are using our Global Payroll product. This integration is exclusive to customers that have Global Payroll employees. Files will not be pushed for employees using other products.
How to enable this integration
-
First, you need to create a folder that will hold the files for all employees. To do that log into HiBob with an administrative user. On the sidebar, navigate to Docs > People’s Folders. After that, click on the Add new option in the list of folders, and enter the following information on the form that shows up.
-
Name: Remote Payslips
IMPORTANT: Note that this name should be entered exactly as written above, since our integration will try to push files into that folder, and naming it a different way will prevent your integration from working at all.
- Description (optional): Folder to store Remote payslips
- Applies to: All employees
For more information on how to create folders, please refer to the Create a document folder support article in HiBob.

In addition to creating the Folder, you need to give the service user that is currently being used by the integration permission to access the new Folder. For this, click on the grid icon at the top left part of the page and then on the System Settings link. Once you’re in the Settings page, click on Integrations > Service users. Locate the service user that you’re currently using to manage this integration, and look for the permission group assigned to that service user, on the Assigned permission groups column.
Go back to the Settings page, click on Account > Permission groups, and on the list locate the permission group you checked on the previous step. Click it to edit the permissions for this group.
Go to the People’s data tab, click on Docs > Remote Payslips. Click on the Edit permissions button on the top of the page, enable all of the checkboxes for the Remote Payslips folder that was created earlier, click Save and Apply to finalize your HiBob configuration.
-
To allow users to access the new Payslips directory you need to set up the proper permissions on an additional security group. For this, navigate to Settings > Account > Permission groups. Choose the All people - own data group, and click on Edit permissions on the top right of the page.
Click on Docs, select the Remote Payslips directory and check the View their own docs in the folder. After that, Save your changes and click on Apply on the modal that pops up
-
Finally, log into Remote and head into the HiBob Integration Page. Navigate to the Settings tab, and you should be able to see the Payslips section. Click on the toggle button to enable it. From now on, your payslips will be pushed continuously to the employee folders on your HiBob account.
At the time of enabling payslip integration, we will sync all already available payslips and end-of year statements for each Global Payroll employee. After that, on ongoing basis, we will sync any new payslips from Remote into your HRIS.
IMPORTANT: Our integration can only add files, not modify them or remove them from HiBob. If files were uploaded to this folder by mistake or the integration was removed after files have been synced, the uploaded files have to be removed manually from HiBob.
Error handling
To check the errors that the integration encountered while syncing time off requests you can check the sync summary section on top of the Overview tab. You can click on the Check errors button to see detailed information about the issues with the data sync. For more information, please check the Error handling section in our employee sync support article.
