If an employee does not use their full annual leave entitlement within the year, they may carry over the unused days to the following year. This process is referred to as "carry-over."
In Vietnam, carrying over unused leave is permitted, but it must be mutually agreed upon by the customer and the employee. The carried-over leave must be used within a maximum period of 3 years.
Note: Employees must log their annual leave through Remote's Time Off feature. This applies even if the Customer uses a different system, as recording leave through Remote ensures accurate balances and calculations. Employees can submit requests via the browser or the mobile app.
