What is eBury?

eBury is Remote's primary payment provider for processing international payroll transactions. As a trusted financial partner, eBury enables us to facilitate secure and efficient domestic and cross-border payments for your global team. This platform supports multiple currencies and ensures timely payments while maintaining compliance with local banking regulations.

Remote currently processes salary payments through eBury. Statutory payments processing is not yet available in select countries where Remote provides tax filing and reporting services.

Supported Funding Currencies

Here are the currencies available for funding your Remote account, organized by region:

Local Currency Support

  • Local currency funding is available for companies based in:
    • SEPA countries
    • Australia, Bulgaria and Denmark
    • Hungary, Norway, Sweden and Poland
    • Romania, Switzerland and Singapore
    • New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom

For companies based in India, we offer special local currency arrangements - please contact our support team via help@remote.com for details.

For all other countries, we recommend funding your account in USD, GBP, or EUR.

No matter which currency you use to fund your account, we'll always process payroll payments in your employees' local currencies.

Here's how payroll processing works:

  1. Review and approve your payroll run in the Remote platform after completing eBury onboarding

  2. Fund your payroll using the provided eBury account details (be sure to include the payment reference ID)

  3. Once funds are received, payments will be automatically processed for employees who have submitted their bank account details

    • If any employees haven't provided their banking information, payments will be held until the required details are submitted. After an employee adds their bank information, Customer will receive an email notification with a Process Payment button to release the held payment.
