As an Employer of Record (EOR) employee, if you plan to work from a country not listed in your employment contract or undertake a cross-border business visit, you must submit a Remote Work Authorization request.
- Go to the Request tab and click on New request.
- Choose Remote work authorization, fill out the details, then click Submit request. Please ensure that the following information is included in your request:
For a work-cation:
-

- Specify the location from which you plan to perform your duties.
For business related travel:
-
- Explain the purpose of your trip.
- Specify the type of visa or travel authorization that will be used.
- Provide the location you will be visiting.

- If you plan to visit a manufacturing unit, building project, microbiological institution, research laboratory, pharmaceutical plant, or heavy machinery workplace, include this information in your request.
- If you need an accompanying business travel support letter, please provide the full address to which the letter must be addressed.
- Upon submitting the request, your request will be sent to your manager first for approval.
-
Once approved, our mobility team will review your request based on the following parameters:
- Eligibility based on nationality and residence
- Period of absence from employment country and historical travel data
- Applicable visa/work permit conditions
- Intended activities to be performed
- All other compliance requirements
- Our mobility team may reach out to you via email for additional information.
- If required, our mobility team will involve the Tax team to further investigate on potential tax and social security implications, such as the requirement to have a Certificate of Coverage/A1 Certificate.
- Upon completing the assessment, our mobility team will notify you of the outcome through the platform.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that your travel letter request reaches Remote at least three to eight weeks prior to your scheduled appointment with the embassy or the start of your journey, whichever comes first. This also helps Remote review the compliance formalities associated with cross-border travel, such as the requirement of a certificate of social security coverage.
